COVID STOLE YOUR SENSE OF SMELL - AND IT MIGHT NEVER GIVE IT BACK 2 years later, millions still can’t smell the coffee. Literally. New research from NYU Langone and the NIH’s RECOVER project just dropped a grim stat: 80% of people who say their sense of smell is off still fail

@MarioNawfal A lot of us developed parosmia and anosmia from Covid19; symptoms of long-covid, along with a slew of other side effects. I was lucky enough to only have parosmia for 2 years. However, I still can’t stand the smell of bacon, sausage, or McDonald’s.

@MarioNawfal I smell bullshit.

@MarioNawfal Someone in my family lost their sense of smell long term because of cv. She started taking zinc and it came back. *not medical advice. Do your own research*

@MarioNawfal I lost my smell & taste after my stroke a long time ago & it was complicated when ppl would ask me. I always said I'm good cuz I don't want 2 be blamed 4 covid 😆

@MarioNawfal Desert Storm stole my sense of smell.

@MarioNawfal Would be interesting to see if it was the virus, or the countless jabs afterwards. 🤷‍♀️

@MarioNawfal Yup big one mine definitely went Down but not fully. I can still smell garlic n onions n coffee n steak fat rendering and bananas and brocoli stalks. Its just not as rich as it was before covid.

@MarioNawfal Post virus well my smell returned. I could smell the Virus in Beef for some reason. Not sure why

@MarioNawfal In the bright side, gas passed from my lower end is no longer offensive, to me

@MarioNawfal I cant smell eucalyptus anymore. Been over 4 years

@MarioNawfal That is so many people!!! 😢

@MarioNawfal damn this is bad

@MarioNawfal My mom has this problem

@MarioNawfal ▶️🔲Remember when you thought losing your sense of smell was no big deal? ▶️🔲Well, joke’s on you you might never smell bacon again. 🥓😬 ▶️🔲NYU says 80% of noses still flunk the sniff test. ▶️🔲Your brain might’ve just given up and decided meh, soap smells like sadness now.

@MarioNawfal Very interesting

@MarioNawfal What’s really causing the loss?

@MarioNawfal My dad flew fighter jets in a war and lost his sense of smell as well, never to return.

@MarioNawfal This is total and complete BS, no one I know has this issue.

@MarioNawfal Is this science we are supposed to trust?

@MarioNawfal Gave me vertigo.

@MarioNawfal N Acetyl Cisteine. Problem solved.

@MarioNawfal This is annoying, why coffee tho

@MarioNawfal Who’s taking responsibility for this? We all know by now that COVID didn’t just “happen naturally,” yet no one is being held accountable.

@MarioNawfal Interesting 🤔

@MarioNawfal It was a crime

@MarioNawfal Yep. Extremely diminished.

@MarioNawfal I can't wait to go to war with China I want to rip every single one of them motherfucking heads off for creating this bullshit I don't care if it wasn't the Citizens they all are equally responsible for letting the government do this fuck China

@MarioNawfal This sounds very snifficant.

@MarioNawfal My taste was gone for months. My smell/taste eventually recovered but for a while my cooking was aggressively over seasoned

@MarioNawfal They should test Fauci for the vaccine and make the results public knowledge. I can almost guarantee the officials that forced this on the country faked their jabs.

@MarioNawfal This is exactly what happened to me! I never even got tested but I know for sure I had COVID in May 2020. Out of nowhere I lost all sense of taste and smell, for weeks. Now, so many things just smell, and taste,*weird*. Red wine smells and tastes rancid. And so many other things.

@MarioNawfal Don't dig into what happens to those who lose their smell. I did when it happened to me. It's predictive of a pretty horrible health future. My sense of smell fully returned after 3 years. My taste is off on a few different items and it's really strange.

@MarioNawfal I get back my smell on and off ⁉️ @grok

@MarioNawfal And I petrichor…

@MarioNawfal It’s cigarettes for me. I don’t smell it alllll the time, but I feel like it’s when my immune system is kicking in and trying to fight something off, I smell cigarettes. Like a dirty public ashtray. That’s when i pull the vitamin regimen out & give the immune system a boost
