truth nuke im very lucky to have met lots of good players and have time to play/watch streams, but I could not imagine being an up and coming player wanting to get into competitive tft. the barrier is getting higher and higher
@mein_tgl Stats were hidden to control player perception that they governed optimal play. But I'd prefer that FALSE perception over the PROVABLY TRUE perception that player access to critical information (bugs, bait augments) is gated behind private forums and full-time TFT unemployment.
@mein_tgl I think without study groups its still pretty easy to get challenger every set if you commit the time/effort. But being the best of the best it's def a necessity. I haven't been in a group before myself so sometimes I feel out of the loop when some new techs pop up and im late
@mein_tgl I’m not sure I totally agree with the thought process this post conveys. I think you can become a 99.9 percentile player without a study group and join one once you have proven your individual skill
@mein_tgl especially if you're an average person with like, a job and other responsibilities, getting serious about tft just seems so impossible
@mein_tgl yea im kinda new to tft, but ranked feels like i needed to learn how to use these data websites which i found kinda boring and unfun lmao but also sooo much knowledge with bugs or whatever u can only learn by watching ppl play its like a part time job
@mein_tgl Yeah it's why I kinda just stopped playing after getting a job. The worst part is getting hit by a massive patch and just not having the time to be comfortable w/ the meta after
they should make a tft tournament but only for employed people
Just received this in the mail, can’t lie kinda fire thanks @TFT! Lowkey been thinking about returning to the costreaming program after going full-time content and this might be the push I needed to come back
Before dodger game After dodger game
