A patient who created a popular sheet on how to deal with somebody in postexertional malaise (PEM) has adapted it for hospital staff #MEcfs #LongCovid
@TomKindlon Thank you for sharing, looks great Do you have a convenient link to or image of the one for non-hospital situations as well?
@TomKindlon Might be very helpful or a fast track to a psych referral depending on hospital staff.
@TomKindlon I've been looking for something like this...just in case. Thanks for posting, Tom! And thanks to the person who created it! 😇🙏💙🫂
@TomKindlon very useful and practical 👍
"Today my son has his birthday. He is turning 20. No one can congratulate him. I cannot speak with him. He can't even recognize a flower in the dark. I just took him in my arms. He cried bitterly. Bitterly."
And very sick people do this with very limited energy & possibly with brains that don't work well and remember little.
This is so true. And largely an impossible task for a child. We try our best to keep our son optimistic so he survives into an age range where he can learn the skills Whitney describes.
