The best way to understand what we’re living through is as an extended repeat of the dismantling of reconstruction. The liberal reforms of the civil rights era lasted longer than reconstruction, but were also less sweeping. They too are now being swept away

They would go right back to Jim Crow if they could, and they probably will if you give them enough time

@dennismhogan What do you make of the fact states like MA have 40% GOP votes and yet zero reps in the house?

@MacroSkokie The point of the districts isn’t to ensure that Democrats get elected from Southern states, but to ensure that Black voters have the opportunity to elect a representative without their political power being diluted in a discriminatory way.

@dennismhogan All of New England has exactly zero Republican representation despite them being appr. 40% of the population.

@JohnN00343673 Is republican a race now

@dennismhogan The hypocritical irony is off the charts here. Forget for a moment that all post Reconstruction congressmen were Black GOPers. For decades liberals demanded that the Feds monitor elections in the South. Now you don’t want federal oversight to clean out blue states corrupt voter

@MROmarketplace why did Black voters stop voting republican?

@dennismhogan What it looks like when you don’t use racism to gerrymander districts

@dennismhogan Translation: republicans are taking away another one of our advantages and treating everyone EQUALLY, something we always have demanded for but never really wanted - we always wanted more than equality. Next you’ll be crying for reparations, retard. Thank God for President

@dennismhogan Reconstruction? They are literally just taking away the racially motivated gerrymandering. The rest of the act is intact.

@dennismhogan Or black people don’t get specific districts and we can’t move towards an equal society free of racial prejudice until we stop seeing people as separate based on their skin color as liberals claim we must

@dennismhogan If we want to stop dividing people based on race; then we should stop dividing based on race. Instead of white districts and back districts, we need districts where candidates have to appeal to all voters.

@dennismhogan If you’re worried about representation, I know some guys that have some ideas about that. @nocapfund and @Jmayhugh28 have been talking about a unique solution for a while. You should reach out to them and see what they’ve got.

@dennismhogan Wasn't the voting rights act a way to count one person's vote more than another based on their race? Minorities didn't like it when slaves were only counted as 3/5ths of a person. No one should like that now either.

@dennismhogan The Democrat party already does that with Black people by replacing their representation with illegal aliens.

@dennismhogan It's 2025. The fact that specific states are still expected to take race into consideration when determining their districts is ridiculous.

@dennismhogan I can't tell whether you're a right-wing racist who thinks this is a good thing, or a left-wing anti-racist who thinks it's a bad thing. Either way, you're thinking about this policy through the lens of disparate impact, and disparate impact is not a liberal concept.

@dennismhogan So dramatic.

@dennismhogan You just thought the voting rights act provisions should go on forever? That was never the intent- they were temporary oversight measures meant to one day go away. Grow up.

@dennismhogan yep, not voting by race anymore

@dennismhogan Reconstruction was the Treaty of Versailles of the Civil War. A terrible policy which was always going to backfire.

@dennismhogan well, at least this degenerate scumbag admits that voting has been intentionally engineered in large parts of the United States on a racial basis. I guess that's kind of refreshing, although the infatuation with it is really kind of disturbing.

@dennismhogan Race-based congressional seats do not make sense in our modern era
