The Best Joao Pedro Replacements With FPL managers growing increasingly impatient with Joao Pedro, let’s have a look at the best replacements for him, in and around his priceĀ rangeĀ (Ā£7.5m):

With just one blank in his last four fixtures, Welbeck has been in top form for Brighton. All of his 5 goals this season have come in that period and with some decent fixtures coming up, he could prove to be a bargain at £6.4m, especially with his ownership being just 5.6%.

Having already notched up 6 goals so far, Brentford’s Igor Thiago is slowly living up to the expectations. He is priced at Ā£6.2m and owned by 6.8% managers. He is Brentford’s penalty taker too, which makes him a contender for your frontline, especially with theirĀ recentĀ form.

Woltemade been a great addition to the Newcastle squad with instant impact, as he has found the net four times already in his six games so far. His ownership is slightly higher than the others (22.8%), but at Ā£7.5m, he does look like a reliable option, who’s alsoĀ onĀ penalties.

Mateta has already scored 5 goals this season, including a hattrick. He is priced at £7.7m, owned by 16.3% managers. Another penalty taker, who has some excellent fixtures coming up. He has been underperforming his xG (7.99), so we surely hope it will catch up soon!

The Bois Picks: Mateta > Welbeck > WoltemadeĀ >Ā Thiago

The Gyokeres Dilemma The hopes were sky high for FPL managers when getting Gyokeres into their teams, but unfortunately the returns haven’t matched their expectations at all. Here’s what we think ofĀ theĀ situation:

Priced at 9.0m, Gyokeres has blanked in 7 of the 9 GWs so far and hasn’t had a return for the last 5 GWs in a row, despite Arsenal being on the winning side in four of those games. His xG of 3.59 and xA of 0.49 are very much below average in comparison to strikersĀ thatĀ cost

lesser than him in FPL. Despite the decent fixture run that’s coming up, we wouldn’t be keen to retain Gyokeres if we had him, simply because of his inconsistency. Having multiple ARS defenders has been way more profitable & that’s the route we would recommendĀ adoptingĀ too.

Crystal Clear Palace! With their start to the season, it was pretty evident that Palace would be one of the teams which FPL managers would love to get players from in preparation for their upcoming fixture run. Here are our best three picks:

Image in tweet by The FPL Bois

Mateta is our top Palace pick, 2nd for xG in the league with 5G in 9 starts. Palace’s attack is flying, ranking top for xG and big chances, has favourable fixtures ahead (2 of next 5 vs bottom 5 xGC teams) and with Nketiah still on managed minutes, there's little xMins risk.

Sarr has been pivotal to Palace’s attack this season and also ranks top 10 for xG in the league. Fresh off a midweek brace against Liverpool, he now faces a great run of fixtures and remains differential, owned by just 8.8% of managers.

If targeting a Palace defender, Munoz remains the standout pick. Top for xGI among defenders with 1G and 3 A, his attacking threat gives him the edge, especially with Palace keeping just 3CS. The upcoming fixtures look good offering both, CS and attackingĀ potential.

Thiago vs Welbeck vs Kroupi Jr. Points: 45 vs 37 vs 27 Goals(last 5 games): 4 vs 5 vs 4 Assists: 0 vs 0 vs 0 xG(per 90): 0.54 vs 0.53 vs 0.80 Bonus Points: 6 vs 6 vs 4 Mins Played: 741 vs 544 vs 163

Igor Thiago is the league’s second-highest scorer and in fine form with 4 goals in his last 5 games, but Brentford’s upcoming run dents his appeal. Despite Brentford being top 2 for xG over the last 4 matches, only one of their next five fixtures looks favourable.

Welbeck is in great form with 5 goals in his last 4 games and owned by just 5.6% of managers. With a good run of fixtures in the next five and penalty duties in his favour & the Brighton attack doing good - he’s a low-owned differential with short-term upside.

Kroupi Jr has emerged as a budget differential, scoring 3 goals in his last 2 games. Fixtures look favourable after the City match, but with Evanilson set to return soon, his minutes could be managed.

The Bois Picks: Despite Thiago boasting the best underlying stats, Welbeck’s current form and more favourable fixtures make him our pick. Welbeck > ThiagoĀ >Ā KroupiĀ Jr

Time to go differential! With FPL managers on the lookout for some differentials to propel their ranks in the upward direction, here are some options that you can consider:

Sarr stands out as a top differential pick. He’s been central to Palace’s attack that ranks top xG in the league. With strong fixtures ahead and ownership at just 8.8%, he’s a high-upside option flying under the radar.

Welbeck is shaping up as a strong differential pick. With 5 goals in his last 4 games and owned by just 5.6%, he’s in great form. Add to that a great fixture run and penalty duties, and he looks like a great alternative option in the mid priced forward category

With Odegaard out and Eze moving centrally, Trossard looks set for more secure minutes. He’s started the last 5 league games, was rested midweek, and has posted an xGi of 1.93 during that run. At just 0.4% ownership and with great fixtures ahead, he’s a massive differential.

Reece James as we know, has always been a high-upside pick, and with ownership at just 7.5%, he’s a tempting short term differential. He’s started the last 5 games, has good fixtures in the next 3, and ranks 2nd among Chelsea defenders for xGI (11th amongĀ allĀ defenders).

@thefplbois @FPLThorpey Thoughts? Who would you replace and bring in?

Image in tweet by The FPL Bois

@thefplbois Would you go Mateta or Sarr for the third CP spot? Money not a big issue, Pedro or Paqueta out respectively.

@thefplbois good article, will say that Gordon is on pens first over Woltemade, you would be banking on Gordon continuing with these early subs

@thefplbois Had two free transfers-sold Bowen for Mateta. But keeping that extra free transfer and roll with this team. I’m top of both my leagues with my mates but they’re closing in on me šŸ˜… any tweaks or changes you’d make to this team? I’m torn between Semenyo or Kudus….šŸ¤” Thank you šŸ™šŸ¼
