This is what legacy collection sounds like online, in the most playable connection I had all night. I really really looked forward to this but this is rough @DigitalEclipse

If you’re just joining us btw

@LongJohnCenaFGC @DigitalEclipse The original games didn't have online. Enjoy the original games!

@M1ntyRetr0 @DigitalEclipse i enjoy the original games just fine, and have done so for years, owning all of them for various consoles. rollback netcode was a heavily advertised feature that enticed myself and other competitive players to buy the collection. it should be functional. be serious man.

@LongJohnCenaFGC @DigitalEclipse For retro fighters you want a delay that limits any audio issues or connection delays. For me I usually put delay 2 in the event there are issues and the game won't roll back as harshly. If I find myself needing to increase the delay further than 2 then game is unplayable.

@An_To_Ny_34 @DigitalEclipse Yeah this was at 4f (default). I was told going to 5 resolves it but I really don’t want to play in 5f.

@LongJohnCenaFGC @DigitalEclipse That's Digital Eclipse for you Very damn sure this product is the reason Capcom went to ask it's own house to do it themselves (It went thousand miles better) If your product is being managed by Digital Eclipse pray it gets cancelled at that point

@Radiant_Ansel @DigitalEclipse i didnt play a lot of 30th, but definitely thought it was worse than 3soe and such. DE also did 06 umk3 when they were Backbone and that was pretty good!

@LongJohnCenaFGC @DigitalEclipse Believe it has to do with the rollback netcode which allows each player time to sync with the correct frame of action. Think of it like when you slow down a youtube video. Same issue in SF30th and it wasn't fixed, not sure how they can fix it.

@calcran4401 @DigitalEclipse not as familiar with 30th, i didnt play that one online much, but that's on devs regardless. this (and apparently 30th) is the only rollback game with this issue.

@LongJohnCenaFGC @DigitalEclipse You have to move the input lag to 5. That corrected it for me it’s because of laggy players. It’s weird as fuck that lag effects the sounds of the game though.

@dancocked @DigitalEclipse good info. i was experimenting a bit to see if anything improved *any* aspect of the online, but I did not want to go above 4 frames, for obvious reasons. ill check it out to see, but that's not a sustainable fix regardless.

@LongJohnCenaFGC @DigitalEclipse Did we forget SF30th was simmilar with lackluster online and audio issues. Digital Eclipse, same devs btw.

@HeadBlok @DigitalEclipse maybe also worth noting - when they were Backbone, they did the 06 UMK3 port, which was pretty good!

@LongJohnCenaFGC @DigitalEclipse Is your opponent playing with Wi-Fi?

@rmn_070499 @DigitalEclipse i have no idea, but this issue persists in every match on umk3, as well as mkt (only ones i have played so far).

@LongJohnCenaFGC @DigitalEclipse I just figured the servers weren't up yet. I could not get ONE game. Played MK1 all night. Did some MK3U.

@CatchGamma @DigitalEclipse I was waiting 5+minutes for matches on UMK3, with varying experiences on rollback performance. This audio was persistent throughout though unfortunately. Surprisingly only found two trilogy matches, kinda feel like the casuals will gravitate there. But it was also like 1-2am est.

@LongJohnCenaFGC @DigitalEclipse Hopefully this gets patched quickly.

@ImHumbucker @DigitalEclipse Hoping so! I love these games and just want to see them preserved in a functional way.
