Wanted to check on a patient, but Windows decided it’s update time. Thanks, @Microsoft for keeping us connected to the traditional ways of doing medicine.

@Wassimulator @Microsoft when will you move off windows?

@anthonywaldz @Microsoft I don’t think I have a say in what OS our hospital runs

@Wassimulator @Microsoft I'm very surprised MS bots are not here in the thread asking you to DM them your issue xdd

@valigo_gg @Microsoft Don’t worry, it’s happening.

@Wassimulator @Microsoft blames MS and not the IT team that pushes out the updates in a decent time lol.

@Xavier1415 @Microsoft Yes, I blame MS, you'd think they would be able to update without bricking the entire OS for half an hour.

@Wassimulator @Microsoft It's actually your fault. It must've showed you signs.

@TeaTheDeveloper @Microsoft Yes, the Windows logo.

@Wassimulator @Microsoft I'm sort of calling fake. Or you must be a one man doctors office or something. Windows disables those update windows by default when set up in an business/enterprise network. Also, my personal windows shows this as a popup with 'not now' for over a year? Have you updated?

@MakJoris @Microsoft This is a hospital in Germany, idk what to tell you man.

@Wassimulator @Microsoft A serious hospital should use some variant of RHEL workstation and internal system should have a web-based interface.

@Pepeaoriano @Microsoft Seems like I work at an unserious hospital

@Wassimulator @Microsoft Can I advise you on a definive solution? Using linux or disable windows updates and do them once a week mannually?

@DiyarGn @Microsoft You can, but I am not the one who has control over this place’s IT infrastructure

@Wassimulator @Microsoft You would think that a hospital would have a domain config to only allow updates approved by IT department - and even then would roll those updates out in some kind of way to prevent system downtime when needed. o.O

@DJ_Dunewolf @Microsoft you'd be shocked how low IT standards in hospitals can be.

@Wassimulator @Microsoft Did you enable active hours in Windows Update to prevent restarting the computer during those hours? 👀

@jmorales1013 @Microsoft As soon as I figure out when the non active hours of the ER are I’ll forward them to our IT

@Wassimulator @Microsoft Want to check on a patient go to the room

@Swizzlerz @Microsoft Thank you, I wasn’t aware. I’ll ask him about his CT scan findings.
