@theo Kotlin is a better Java, Swift is a worse Rust. Coroutines, extensions, nullability, and KMP make Kotlin productive. Swift got actors and value types, then Xcode reminds you who is boss. Tooling decides more apps than syntax ever did.

@theo Hard to argue on consistency and null-safety. Kotlin’s design choices feel like they actually trust the developer to write grown-up code.

@theo I think both are fantastic languages in their own way. Kotlin is IMO the most elegant JVM language, while Swift is one of the most elegant languages period.

@theo From a language design perspective Kotlin really isn't that horrible, but you can't polish shit so as long as the default backend is the JVM... no thanks

@theo I've been a Kotlin developer since 2017 and I kindly disagree. While Kotlin is undoubtedly the GOAT when it comes to readability, it could borrow a few more concepts from Swift to stay competitive.

@theo Kotlin is better than swift and java. Kotlin may share a lot from Java but the code is much cleaner.
