44,600 m² per building not the whole campus

200 racks per hall sounds much nicer and would be divisible by 8 for that sweet NVL576 setup if they're going for that

@scaling01 These data centers are laid out like chips. We're turning earth into a computer.

@scaling01 Factorio-esque

@scaling01 This will def happen

@scaling01 So these aren't running on clean energy at all, right?

@scaling01 why they no build solar farms around it?🫤

@scaling01 I want to get in on this construction

@scaling01 So whater usage has a one time prefill and then a yearly negligent amount, and power generation is on site so not draining the electricity network. So basically all the anti ai environmental/nimby claims are BS

@scaling01 The aesthetics of industry are so amazing

Taste of what LLM-driven scientific discovery will be like: with 12 minutes of thinking, GPT-5 Pro suggested repurposing a known drug to treat an untreatable food allergy. Same exact result was found by an (at the time unpublished) peer-reviewed study. And models still improving.

OpenAIs Stargate in Abilene will be able to train a model like GPT-4 in just a few hours and a 100 day training run should get close to 10^28 FLOPs in FP16

i helped turn the thing you left for dead into what should be the largest non-profit ever. you know as well as anyone a structure like what openai has now is required to make that happen.

chatgpt5 release has blown everyone thoroughly out of the water
