For the last 2–3 nights, my neighbours were hearing a strange sound that started around 12 AM & stops by 5AM. It came in their master bedroom & kids room, so they shared recordings on our tower group. Their flat is right below my office flat, which is completely empty at night.

So when they said the sound was coming from above, I decided to check it myself. The first time they reported it, I checked everything the next morning -my NAS, smart locks, and other devices - thinking it could be a low battery alert or HDD noise. But everything was fine.

Last night around 1:15 AM, my neighbour called again and asked me to join. When I reached, 4–5 people were already there - including the floor manager, tower security, electrician, and a few others.

We entered my office flat, and within seconds the sound started again. It was loudest in the main work area. We checked all electronics - everything was off. Then it seemed to come from the washroom ceiling. Climbed to the Top, nothing, it was empty.

At 1:45 AM, we waited silently. When the sound came again, we finally traced it - The Tap. Air & water were pushing out together from pressure build-up in the top-floor pipes. We released it, and the sound stopped. The Midnight Sound Mystery Solved🫢🤯 https://x.com/amitbhawani/stat...

Life has its own way of surprising us - Big Suspense, Simple Endings. But I genuinely feel bad for my neighbours who spent 2–3 sleepless nights because of a fricking tap. Yes, just a water tap.
