Toyota revealed "Walk Me", an autonomous robotic wheelchair with 4 leg-like limbs that walk and balance like an animal. It tackles stairs and rough terrain. Toyota is moving beyond cars to personal mobility robots aiming for true "Mobility for All"
@rohanpaul_ai The design looks like something out of sci-fi movie
@nyn531 agree
@rohanpaul_ai great concept, love that's inspired by nature, but for the love of god: when creating a mobility aid for stairs and rough terrain, at least include a seat belt and a foot rest. there's barely anything to hold on to/support their body/keep them in the seat.
@rohanpaul_ai When bio-inspired is not just about mimicking nature, but understanding the first principles behind the evolution and being innovative. Now I want to see it with someone sitting on it and some toys on the ground.
@rohanpaul_ai I want one with eight legs... @ToyotaSoCal , please... I don't need it, I can walk............but I just want to skitter around like a spider and trigger people's fear of such.
@rohanpaul_ai Home Simpson would love it too đ¤
@rohanpaul_ai It makes me want to dawn a Palpatine robe and have it walk me around the house all day.
@rohanpaul_ai And now theyâre crabs. Carcinization has come for robotics đŚ
@rohanpaul_ai This is cool, but we need to see an example/demo to gain a better understanding of the comfort level for the person sitting on it.
@rohanpaul_ai Iâm calling it the Wallâ˘E chair. Lol
@rohanpaul_ai Looks like this
@rohanpaul_ai Does this remind any one else of this?
@rohanpaul_ai Please not the âautonomousâ word. Impressive flexibility but definitely not autonomous.
@rohanpaul_ai It sits like a swastika. Racist chair!
@rohanpaul_ai so .. Protoss begins..
@rohanpaul_ai Wow, that's quite something, Rohan! Toyota's innovation is super impressive, but I wonder about the cost for the average person, no?
@rohanpaul_ai Mobility for all!
@rohanpaul_ai đ¤
@rohanpaul_ai Really neat
@rohanpaul_ai Great idea with so many potential applications.
@rohanpaul_ai Reminds me of this:
@rohanpaul_ai It feels like it's sort of a telltale hallmark of a Grand Technological Revolution when regular, mainstay car companies start blingin' it with this type of stuff.
@rohanpaul_ai It probably costs more than a car. Good luck convincing your insurance to hook you up with one of those.
@rohanpaul_ai @bitmindbot is this real
@rohanpaul_ai I can't wait to see my 103 year old great grandmother running up the stairs in her spider chair.
@rohanpaul_ai it's not a wheelchair, as it has no wheels it's a legchair
@rohanpaul_ai Toyotaâs âWALK MEâ Makes Personal Mobility FREE for All
@rohanpaul_ai Any footage of it actually going up stairs yet?
@rohanpaul_ai if u believe any of this would make it to a store. these are good for the show.
@rohanpaul_ai They see Tesla FSD coming for the entire auto industry
@rohanpaul_ai And this is not AI-generated... interesting to see what human does
@rohanpaul_ai they will introduce it in America and limit to 180 pounds use.
