#Irannews🧵 1- Finally after more than 2 years, the IRGC confirms Hamas Politburo leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated by a missile fired at him from a distance while he was speaking on cellphone. Haniyeh was staying at an #IRGCQF guesthouse at Sa’ad Abad palace, N Tehran.

2- The IRGC spokesman says Haniyeh had a Tab and several cellphones with Qatar and Iranian lines; the missile was fired at him the moment he answered his phone. Per spokesman, Iranians had warned Haniyeh about his phones the same evening but he didn’t take it seriously.

3- The IRGC spokesman rejects the rumor that Haniyeh was assassinated by a bomb planted in his room. (Israeli-American media’s claim) This info confirms old reports that Haniyeh’s upper body had been totally vanished and just his waist & legs were buried in Doha.

4- The IRGC official believes Israel assassinated Haniyeh at the guesthouse to humiliate the IRGC and the Quds Force. He says “Haniyeh could have been assassinated in Qatar or even on the streets of Tehran, it was easy to track him, but Israel wanted to discredit the #IRGCQF”.

5- “The Supreme National Security Council of Iran met immediately after Haniyeh’s assassination and decided to retaliate. The armed forces were given a free hand to respond to Israel. After fixing previous operation’s errors, Iranian forces retaliated against Israel in Oct 2024.”

@fresh_sadegh So, as early as July 2024, the IRGC knew that there was Mossad cells in Iran capable of carrying out spike missile strikes from Iranian soil, and yet they were once again taken by surprise by this method on June 13, 2025? Some people need to be taken accountable for this.

@fresh_sadegh Salam Fereshteh I thought Honorable Ismail was martyred in 2024? How would this be confirmed after two years?

@fresh_sadegh Counter intelligence needs to be strengthened. We can't have this kind of incident repeated. Leave no stone unturned.
