Hey @KaiSchwemmer you might want to be aware that Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712–1778) wasn’t a socialist in the modern sense, but his ideas laid important groundwork for Marxist thought, especially in how both view inequality, private property, and the origins of social corruption.
@ThoughtfulSaint When we debate this formally will you have AI doing the debating as well?
@KaiSchwemmer Nah I already knew this stuff. It’s just easier to have AI quickly spit it out. Rousseau is cancer.
@KaiSchwemmer @ThoughtfulSaint Rousseau is an interesting figure, with a verity of valid observations. You can disagree with his conclusions, there is plenty I do, but he is probably the most influential philosophers besides Plato and Aristotle.
@KaiSchwemmer @ThoughtfulSaint This just keeps getting better and better😂
@KaiSchwemmer @ThoughtfulSaint ChatGpt is right in this though But inscribing an optimal level of mortality into law is not Rousseau's + rights. Moral law is demanding that citizens accept their duty to each other to be virtuous. Liberty is a virtue in tension with this. They must be arbitrarily balanced.
@KaiSchwemmer @ThoughtfulSaint A lack of a real response is telling.
