Did Burhān al-Dīn Ibn Mufliḥ reject that Aḷḷāh speaks with sound and letter? 🧵:
Ibn Mufliḥ mentions that reciting anything besides the Qurʾān verbatim in prayer invalidates it. This is because anything other than it is human speech. Whereas it is not. If he believed the Ḥurūf in it are created, he would have rejected this view.
He elsewhere says the Qurʾān is an essential attribute of Aḷḷāh. So since Ibn Mufliḥ considered it an attribute of Aḷḷāh despite consisting of letters, it follows that Ibn Mufliḥ believed Aḷḷāh spoke with letters.
If anything, it would be odd for Ibn Mufliḥ to transmit statements from Imām Aḥmad explicitly calling the Lafdhiyyah: Jahmiyyah, and then adopting their position that Aḷḷāh doesn’t speak with Lafdh; against his own Imām.
The person I’m responding to, may Aḷḷāh guide him (and others like him) misinterpreted the original text. He thought the speaker in his quote was Ibn Mufliḥ when in reality it was none other than Imām Aḥmad himself. In context, Imām Aḥmad wasn’t making a blanket statement
Furthermore, this quotation originally comes from Imām Aḥmad’s book ‘al-Radd ʿalā al-Zanādiqah wal Jahmiyyah’ but it has a variant. In the original version, it didn’t say ‘Ḥarf’ (letter), it said Jawf (oral cavity), but it was read as Ḥarf due to a typographical error.
@alUkbari Short answer: Yes.

I've noticed that the @AlasnaHaq Arabic page hasn't posted anything related to Haqiqatjou in all of 2025. It seems like they have joined the ranks of the other former Muslim Skeptic writers that have turned their backs against Haqiqatjou.
When Islam calls for death penalty, they call it barbarism. When they call for death penalty, they call it law. It’s all media and psychological warfare.
The Prophet ﷺ said that this Ummah will split into 73 sects, 72 of them will be misguided and one will be the saved one. But according to the ikhwanis, all the 72 sects are saved, and Madkhalis are the only misguided ones.
