The Best Liverpool assets from GW12 Back on track with a win over Villa and a confidence-boosting UCL performance vs Madrid, Liverpool assets are back in consideration. With form improving and a great fixture run from GW12 onwards, their assets could become key targets again.

Salah has 16 points from 2 goals in his last two games, finding form again after a quiet spell. Yes, he’s expensive, but with midfield options limited this season, he’s a player you’ll want , especially with a GW12–20 run that includes all three of the currentĀ bottomĀ sides.

Van Dijk becomes appealing from GW12 onwards, with Liverpool facing 5 of their 7 games against bottom-8 xG sides. They’ve kept 2 clean sheets in last 2 games and the fixtures should help build on that. He’s also getting the Defcon points, already onĀ 12Ā thisĀ season.

Szoboszlai’s appeal has risen with 2 assists in his last 4 across competitions. He plays multiple roles, is on all set pieces, picks up DEFCON (8), and has played 90 mins in every PL match. At 6.6m and just 4.3% ownership, he’s a cheap & differential LiverpoolĀ asset.

Time to sell Semenyo? With just 9 points from his last three games, Semenyo has had a dip in form, but still continues to be the most owned midfielder in the game (64.1% ownership). Should there be concerns about this situation? Here’sĀ whatĀ weĀ think:

Despite the recent decline, Semenyo still boasts incredible numbers of 10 G+A from an xGI of 4.30. In the ICT Index, he continues to be in the Top 5 for Influence and Threat among midfielders, and has absolutelyĀ noĀ xMinsĀ risk.

BOU’s next five fixtures are decent too as they face AVL and SUN away from home, and welcome WHU, EVE and CHE to their home turf. His home record is terrific with just one blank so far, and that’s enough reason for us not to press the PANIC button and sell him.Ā  KeepĀ theĀ faith.

Rice vs Caicedo vs Bruno G vs Casemiro With limited midfield options this season & many previous FPL staples underperforming, managers are now seriously considering defensive/box to box midfielders, especially with the introduction of DEFCON points. Two of them currently sit in

the top three for midfielder points, making them far more viable than in past seasons. They are cheaper and can become good enablers if they keep performing. Let's have a look at how their numbers so far this season:

Rice vs Caicedo vs Bruno G vs Casemiro Goals: 2 vs 3 vs 3 vs 3 Assists: 4 vs 1 vs 1 vs 2 DEFCON: 6 vs 10 vs 0 vs 6 xGi/90: 0.36 vs 0.13 vs 0.28 vs 0.27 Points: 63 vs 58 vs 46 vs 42 Ownership: 17.3% vs 20.7% vs 3.7% vs 0.7%

Rice has some of the best underlying stats among mids and is top 2 for points, while consistently picking up Defcon. On free kicks and corners, he benefits from Arsenal’s set-piece strength. Averaging 6.3 points per match with secure minutes, he can be your 3rd Arsenal asset.

Caicedo has 58 points, the 3rd-highest among mids, with 1 goal and 1 assist in his last 4. He’s also a Defcon magnet with 10 points already. The next two fixtures look great on paper, but his minutes may be managed after a long UCL trip.

Bruno G has been pivotal in Newcastle’s midfield, with 2 goals and 2 assists in his last 4. However, at 6.6m, with Newcastle sitting 10th for xG & a tougher fixture run ahead, we’re not fully convinced he’s worth investing in right now, despite the recent form.

While Casemiro is cheap at 5.5m and has 2 goals + 1 assist in his last 2 games, we don’t value him as an FPL pick yet. He rarely completes 90 minutes and there are better United options to target instead.

The Bois Picks: Rice > Caicedo > Casemiro > BrunoĀ G

Woltemade: Keep or Switch? Another player who has had a couple of games in which he has produced no returns, Woltemade is among the most transferred out players this GW. Is this a bit of an overreaction or warranted? Here’sĀ whatĀ weĀ think:

Image in tweet by The FPL Bois

Woltemade’s emergence as a forward option came as he scored on debut and later produced a goal in three consecutive games in the PL, including a very well taken penalty. In GW10, he was taken off at half-time through a suspected injury, which raised doubts aboutĀ hisĀ fitness.

For his owners, it was good news as he recovered from the minor injury scare and started in Newcastle’s midweek win in the CL. Now, with injuries to Gordon, Osula and Wissa still not being fit enough to feature, his xMins are more securedĀ thanĀ ever.

From an FPL perspective, he is a very credible replacement for the injured Gyokeres, and an alternative to those managers who want to move on from Joao Pedro as well. We feel patience is required, and that he is still trustworthy despite theĀ recent dip in form.

The Brighton route to differentials As FPL managers, we’re always searching for teams and players that offer us a differential route to improve our ranks. With the fixtures coming up and their performances so far, Brighton are team worthy of more attention.Ā Here’sĀ why:

Image in tweet by The FPL Bois

The Seagulls rank 5th for goals per match, 7th for xG and 4th for Shots on Target per match. They’ve also been awarded three penalties so far this season, and are a team in the rise in terms of attackingĀ numbers.

Image in tweet by The FPL Bois

The first among their players to consider is Welbeck. Owned by just 8.2% managers, he has blanked just once in the last 4 GWs, managing to overperform his xGI of 4.64 by scoring 6 goals so far. He will be looking to add to this, as they've a decent set of fixturesĀ tillĀ GW20.

Another pick who we think deserves attention is Minteh. With 3 assists in the last 2 games, he is building up form and his returns of 1G+5A from an xGI of 3.64 is worth appreciation. He is only owned by 4.5% managers & has explosive potential as a midfielder (priced at 6.0m)
