@lapislagoons You want people to have guts & balls to “resist something” — It's been a lifelong & incredibly difficult journey for me, personally, to resist the urge to intervene, to “fix”. So.

@lapislagoons More than that, I know [feel confident] you know that I'm not blind to the tension here. I don't mean to antagonize you, but beyond the empathetic pain I feel from you, I feel genuine anxiety speaking here when I expected my reply would be activating for you.

@lapislagoons I feel I understand — more deeply than many — the world-shattering grief driving your OP. I understand why my reaction can feel like exactly what strikes you as deeply Wrong about the world. I don't agree.

@lapislagoons I don't need to convince you, but I won't let fear of upsetting you silence my attempt to serve your well-being through my words I am not skilled at interacting with you. But regardless of how it might seem to *you* — I am, here, standing for something.
