#Thread || Maritime, Airborne and Surface all round Capability Domains of Indian navy Marcos
If I went missing after deleting this thread please remember me in your prayers I am sure this thread will get deleted but all info and pics are strictly from public domain
1. Maritime & Sub Surface Ops It includes Combat diving, Under water demolition, Mine counter measures, Ship boarding, oil rig & ops sabotage. For this they use multiple equipments including Rebreathers , Dive computers & compasses, Sub-surface delivery vehicles & RHIBs etc
Rebreathers are Closed-circuit systems for combat diving they don't produce any bubbles since you are breathing in a close loop hence are silent & stealthy w/ longer underwater endurance, low detection ideal for ship sabotage, mine ops & covert coastal insertion.
Marcos usually use 2 type of rebreathers 1. Interspiro IS-Mix SCBAs : these rebreathers are non magnetic and stealthy to not set off any mines being diffused excellent for anti mine ops bec of its magnetic signatures and acoustic qualities In pic : MARCOS š®š³
2. Interspiro OX10 CCR: this is the most common rebreathers used by the marcos (and para sf too) for combat diving Pic : marcos š®š³
For underwater convert insertion They use diver propulsion vehicle (underwater scooter). It extended their range, reduced fatigue, low detection during ship assault & coastal ops. In pic : marcos š®š³
They also use Dive Computer, Compass & Navigation Board Full navigation system for long covert swims.
Their weapon of choice for Deep divine ops is AK 103 In pic: marcos š®š³ ak 103 modified with Day Scope (w/ CQ RDS) & Laser Aiming Module and Illuminator, P-Railed Top Cover & Handguard, VFG & Retractable Buttstock (w/Cheek Rest).
2. Airborne / Aerial Insertion Operations (Skydiving Domain) It includes HAHO/HALO jumps, airborne insertion, helicopter based operations. Equipment for these systems including halo/ haho rigs, Oxygen system, bump helmets , navigation and survival computers etc.
For parachute they use RA-1 Intruder it is a Tier-1 SF parachute built for HALO/HAHO ops and consider gold standard bec of its high glide range, precise steering, heavy combat load capacity, low opening shock In pic : marcos š®š³
for inflight navigation they use jTRAX NAVAID: Allows military jumpers to conduct missions with long offsets and guide them toward their intended landing area in a reliable and precise way. Its a complete syst that provides the jumper with navigation & guidance
The jTrax Navaid system includes: ⢠one pilot unit ⢠one display screen ⢠one support board or harness ⢠one back-up compass
The pilot unit has sensors that Calculates bearing, speed, drift, distance, and glide path Interfaces with GPS + sensors for airborne navigation
The display unit has Three types of screens ⢠One used on the plane to check the progress of the flight toward the release point ⢠second screen used under canopy to guide the jumper towards the landing zone. ⢠3rd is a Map display of the area during the flight
Backup Compass is also present for Redundancy if electronics/GPS fail Guarantees basic navigation under all conditions
For helmet they are using Gentex ParaMaster HALO/HAHO Helmet It's specially designed for military parachutists performing HALO/HAHO jumps. Its modular design mission customization and provide retention, impact, and penetration protection for maximum safety

Land & Amphibious Warfare (Surface Assault Domain) I think I have made enough threads discussing this domain of Marcos Here is my infographic of the equipment they carry
