The conspiratorial spirit is alive and well in Nigeria... And it makes sense why: how comes such a state, with jets and oil money, is not able to handle bandits and jihadists on bikes? Actually, there are plenty of reasons why, without imagining conspiracies.
Bandits and jihadists are dispersed and in the bush. Not easy to find. And sometimes, you kill civilians when you bomb away. Plus bombs and flying airships is very expensive. So you can do it when you have a clear and decisive target. But for a bunch of guys on bikes with AKs?
