He starts to explain that there was a human village that produced magicians and had a lot of magical technology, but the people in that village were wiped out. Miguel killed them. So he was commanded by God to punish him. That's what he believes.
Monika tells him that from what Miguel says, he's wrong but Lucifer doesn't want to accept that. That the gods can't make mistakes. He starts to say that an angel that his god tossed away was saying a similar thing. That he knew the truth.
Gods making mistakes..he doesn't want to believe it so he wants to check up on Miguel again. They go towards him again, and Miguel says that he really doesn't want to die. Lucifer says that he's here because he wants to help him and wants to know the truth.
Lucifer wants to hear Miguel's story but they're interrupted by Arbiter, Lucifer's master. She comes from the sky saying that the boy is only whispering lies and evil, he's playing with Lucifer's kindness and he should have a stronger will.
Lucifer doesn't know what to do anymore so he asks the knight what to do. There's two options, to fight miguel or to listen to him. Listening to him leads to the correct path. If you choose to listen to him, Arbiter is angry that Lucifer is defying her.
Lucifer just tells her that he can't ignore what the boy has to say. Arbiter then says that it was "those people's fault"(Pasha,Monika and the Knight) that he's "tainted" now. So she proceeds to try to attack them, before anything happens Pasha alters time to save themselves.
In any case, they flashfoward to a time after they managed to be free of arbiter. Around this time, Lucifer is causing a rebellion towards Arbiter because he wants to recapture Miguel, as Arbiter kept him prisoner.
Lucifer is fighting against the gods to help Miguel who is being tormented by Arbiter. Pasha and Monika arrive at the battlefield, and they encounter a Fallen Angel named Mirin. Mirin tells them to go away because this place is too dangerous, most specifically....
"Why are human beings here? This is a terrible place, come back to the earth. If you don't get out of here while you can I'm going to touch your ass". Lucifer comes over and tells her to stop what's she's doing, but notices that the Knight,Monika and Pasha are back.
"Impossible how are human beings able to still live in this time, completely unchaged?" Pasha explains that it's possible because she's a spirit that is under a mission by Chronos, she's able to manipulate time. They came back to see Lucifer and to see what happened to Miguel.
In any case, Lucifer explains that he wants Arbiter to rethink what she's been doing and to help Miguel. He also says that while Mirin is a fallen angel, she's not evil and she's mostly harmless. She's one of his friends.
Lucifer: She does ocassional sexual remarks that can make others feel uncomfortable but don't worry. Monika: What kind of people are you friends with... (Lucifer befriended Mirin when Arbiter locked him up in a prison. She freed him out of it and offered to help him with Miguel)
Lucifer says that Arbiter likes harmony, and that she believes harmony is preserved by making gods and humans fight demons. Miguel was a demon summoner, so Arbiter thought that his existence was a disturbance of harmony, so she sent Lucifer to kill him.
Harmony being kept this unfair way is something Lucifer can't accept. So he no longer follows Arbiter. Lucifer isn't exactly rebelling, he says. This is a recapture strategy for Miguel. That's the reason why he's fighting.
Arbiter gave Miguel a body that can't die, but she constantly makes him suffer. She tortures him, so he can only live to suffer. Monika asks Lucifer is Lucifer is really ready to fight Arbiter, Lucifer says that he doesn't really want to, as he has served her for a long time.
But if there's nothing he can do to change her mind he has no other choice. Lucifer says that around that time when he was wondering what to do, when the Knight told him to listen to Miguel, he says it was the first time he made a heartful decision. He's thankful to you.
After a while, they encounter Arbiter. Lucifer tells her that life in Mystarsia isn't something she can toy with and to free Miguel. But Arbiter says that he's wrong, he's too tainted by mere mortals. She's the absolute god of justice and eternity, her word is absolute.
She notices the knight, monika and pasha are back so for having destroyed her plans she fights them. They defeat her, and afterwards Lucifer asks for Miguel. Arbiter tells something to the knight, that he told Lucifer to not kill miguel a previous time.
Because he let Miguel alive, she gave him a body that won't die but will constantly suffer, making him wish for death. A death that won't come. "Knight, was the decision you made the right choice?"
Lucifer says that his decision was neither right nor wrong, but it was the best possible option at the time. Even if that resulted in Miguel being tortured....he believes that by defeating Arbiter there won't be any conflicts anymore.
He wants her to accept defeat and realize her wrongdoings but of course she doesn't listen, and goes to further torture Miguel. Monika tells the Knight that even if Miguel is suffering, he won't die so there's nothing to worry about.
The Knight proceeds to stop Arbiter from further torturing Miguel and Miguel is momentarily free. Lucifer tells him to run away, and so he does, thankful for it. Arbiter however, she summons her minions and proceeds to fight Lucifer.
Pasha and Monika's prescence is fading out because of staying there for too long so they're forced to go, leaving Lucifer alone. He says it's fine, that they should save themselves first. They're now transported to the year they were in event 1 first, to the temple.
They're wondering what's the result now, because apparently there's something wrong as somebody wants to end the world still. Monika wonders if It's still Lucifer, it couldn't be since this Lucifer was a nice guy now. They end up in the same situation that happened in event 1.
They find Levi and Levi is saying that the Fallen Angel Lucifer is trying to activate the Magic of the End. Pasha: Why does Lucifer want the end to come now? After fighting a monster, they find Mirin now. Who is at the top of Lucifer's fallen angel army.
Monika asks her what happened, what made Lucifer try to activate the magic to try to destroy the world. Mirin says that many things have happened, and Lucifer is heading to the altar to activate it but wants him to stop.
She knew that the Knight and Co. would come to this era and stop him at the very least. Mirin starts to explain that she and Lucifer were caught by Arbiter and imprisoned. She kept torturing them for days on end. Arbiter exiled Lucifer to the bottom of Hell and cursed him.
In a way similar to Miguel, his body is in constant severe pain and is cursed to never die, having a pain so severe to wish for death but you'll never achieve it. Lucifer wants to end it all so he can finally die, and to put an end to the constant suffering.
However, once they arrive to the altar they don't find Lucifer. Mirin says that Lucifer won't come, and it's up to the her to activate the magic. Mirin lied to everyone. She says that we have no idea how much Lucifer has suffered, how much the fallen angels have to suffer.
She says the way they are cursed is akin to being burned, like your internal organs are being ripped apart. Incredibly painful. "I don't want my friends to feel like this". "I knew you'd come here to stop us, I will end you. This world, Mystarsia and my friend's suffering".
It's not Lucifer but Mirin who activates the magic this time around. This part of the event played a different way originally, the beginning at least. It can't be found in the in-game memorial. I will go from the first version first, then what happened in the definitive version.
