I can't believe people actually go outside. The sun is scary. In this thread, I'm going to explain why the sun should be replaced with artificial lighting: [1/34]

Reasons the sun should be replaced, number 1: For starters, think about how inefficient the sun is. It just shines indiscriminately across the city. My room needs lots of light, but who needs artificial light in a desert? The sun would be far better if it just targeted where it's

Number 2: There's no off switch. What happens if someone does not approve of the Sun's existence? What SPECTRE weaponry would be required to get rid of it? With artificial lighting, if you want the sun gone, just flip the switch. Much easier.

Number 3: Sustainability. We know the sun is going to burn out in around 5 billion years or so, just how are we meant to survive if it's not there? However, if we replaced the sun with artificial lighting, we could just recycle some old bulbs. This is called #planningahead,

Number 4: The sun cannot be changed, it's always the same boring warm color. Instead, we could have RGB lighting! Valentine's Day? Make it pink! Christmas? We could have LEDs in the shape of santa! We should replace the sun with artificial lighting purely for this reason.

Number 5: The sun's cycle is not ideal for productivity. We spend around half of each day in darkness! How are we meant to get anything done if there's not perpetual light? The solution is simple: Artificial lighting! No more lazily losing focus in darkness.

Number 7: The sun is like, really hot. Like it's over 9,000! On my scale that's way too much. Artificial lighting can (and should) be cold! Think about all the money you could save with reduced AC costs.

Number 8: The sun makes people sweat, which we all know nobody wants people doing because it's really gross! If everyone sweated less, we could all smell nice! Surely we all want a little less stink?

Number 9: It's too hard to get to the sun, someone should really try to make it more accessible. Like, people should be able to just walk up to the sun and give it a high five, or just say hi. It shouldn't be so hard to do that! We'll call this sun 2.

Number 10: The sun genuinely believes it's the center of the universe. Have you ever talked to it? It's really pompous. Honestly, nothing brings me greater joy than watching someones ego be deflated like the sun's is about to.

Number 11: Artificial lighting judges you far less than the sun does. Please don't ask me how I know this, my relationship with the sun is very complicated.

Number 12: The sun is so, so, soooo much larger than it needs to be. It's like having an elephant in your room when you just wanted a kitty cat.

Number 13: The need for sunlight should be eliminated and replaced with the "Nature's Diet" - this is just my personal belief

Number 14: We have so much electricity going to waste. Surely instead of building new sun we could just use electricity instead? Just think of all the benefits that could come from this!

Number 25: The sun kills people, which is just plain immoral.

Number 26: Speaking of which, let's address global warming. The sun is responsible for many natural disasters, and let's be real, that's not very cash money of it.

Number 27: Without the sun there's no need for sunglasses, which can sometimes look pretty tacky. No more need for tacky sunglasses, the world is now a more beautiful place.

Number 28: Artificial lighting is far more sustainable, we could even have some wind turbine lighting!

Number 29: The sun just stares at us all day, it's kind of a creep.

Number 30: Without the sun hitting us directly we could finally shave our heads and not have to worry about being bald, which would be a massive confidence boost for all of us!
