From 1988-1992 she was a Research Coordinator and Consultant to the Bank Rakyat Indonesia (under 3  separate contracts funded by the World Bank and USAID in microfinance) 

17th Administrator for USAID - Gayle Smith has also worked the World Bank as a Consultant.

From 2005-2007 Smith was the Chairman of the Working Group Chair on Global Poverty for the Clinton Global Initiative. 

16th Administrator for USAID - Rajiv Shah is the current President of the Rockefeller Foundation. Shar has served in numerous leadership roles with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

He was also responsible for developing the International Finance Facility for Immunization, which raised more than $5 billion for the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI).

16th Administrator for USAID - Henriette Fore was Executive Director of UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) from 2018-2022 where she collaborated with GAVI.

She is a Board Member for Global Preparedness Monitoring Board, co-convened by the World Bank Group and WHO.

2nd Administrator for USAID -David Bell in 1966 left USAID for the position of Executive Vice President of the Ford Foundation.

These are a few examples highlighting the interconnectivity between USAID and large Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
