Just wrapped a QnA with Bungie devs. Lots of valuable information and they answered everything we threw at them!

1) Will be Marathon be delayed?...not likely. Devs say the game is moving along and that 6months is a lot of time to incorporate features and tuning.

2) We learned that the weather and ion weapons impact your heat buildup. If it's raining or you stand in water for example your build heat less quickly. If you get shot by ion weapons it builds your heat quicker!

3) Big focus from the devs is balance for minimum geared players vs max gear players. They're not happy with how that balance feels at the moment as it's skewed towards higher geared players having an advantage.

4) They have plans to add more trap style items like sensors, proximity mines/grenades, etc.

5) They are planning to add a system where you can exfil with a weapon and pay credits to pull the attachments off.

6) Weapon damage is static, tiers refer to mods equipped.

7) They are working on balance to controller aim assist as they revise the weapon skill ceiling/floor.

8) More hazards are planned to be added in the future.

9) There will be new AI enemies on location for players to fight against.....

10) Marathon is a successor to the previous games and will pay homage to them through lore and story elements. In this game Tau Ceti is a crime scene and we are the detectives. Over time we'll discover lore and secrets.
