What MultiChoice didn't know was Jeff's sale of illegal streams was just a side hustle for them as they waited for everything to fall in place in their new syndicate.

The syndicate of BEC scams. 
As an IT expert, Jeff would be the head of this scam but... 

For the plan to be successful they needed someone in the US. 

Sadly, their partners were in jail &amp; Paul couldn't travel being a fugitive so they resorted to use Jeff's uncle Robert Muli who was living in Ohio working as a truck driver.. 

The 59yr old man was a church enthusiast who couldn't sin but since he was now approaching retirement with nothing much to his name, a quick promise of the millions he stood to earn by Jeff who had travelled to US in 2016 to cash a fake cheque and convince Robert too. 

According to Jeff, Robert's only job was to submit their phony invoices that resembled legitimate bills of Service Providers to government's Finance Departments.

And for that he'd get the money needed to enjoy his retirement. 

Jeff's job on the other hand was to clone email addresses of official service providers doing business with US county gvts requesting change of bank details.

A plan that was about to set off when Jeff returned to Kenya but sadly the deal he had come to seal 

Was infiltrated by the FBI who had gotten wind of this deal after the person Jeff was meeting was turned into an FBI informant.

So as he sat in Kenya Airways awaiting departure and moneyed, FBI agents took him off the plane.. 

His arrest however did not stop the dream which he had shared with his brother Edwin Sila Nyumu who filled the shoes Jeff left.

His work being, drafting emails for their Uncle Robert who was in Ohio with their first victim being the city of Detroit. 

Robert sent an invoice to the City of Detroit with the gods of Ukambani by his side where he was able to strike a  $750,000 payment to his personal account which ultimately signified that the business was ripe for full blown entry... 

This successful transaction convinced  Robert to make the next step where he opened up a Business Account in the name of Rogram Home Improvement at First Commonwealth Bank in Ohio.

Dis company had been registered in Sep 14 2005 by Grandpa Paul but had remained inactive. 

Robert's opening was in prep for the hijacking of a million dollar legit deal that involved Dell Computers supplying FairFax County in Virginia with new computers on July 2018.

With insiders in The Dell Company &amp; First Commonwealth Bank, Edwin while in a cyber cafe in Kenya... 

Cloned the legit email address of Dell Computers and sent an email using docs provided by their insider to Fair Fax County requesting a change in payment details.

The new Bank details he offered were those of Rogram Home Improvement as registered by Muli at this bank.. 

Whereby this request was approved &amp; the unsuspecting county officials paid them $1.3million  between Aug 8-Sep 8 2018 waiting for new computers .

As they waited for the supply, Robert quickly withdrew this mulla and sent it to Kenya...

To his family who were eagerly waiting for him to come enjoy the millions daddy was sending them and to Edwin for the mails.

However their days would be numbered b/c as he continued scamming in preparation for a rich retirement, 

A fresh graduate from FBI academy at Quantico who was looking to make a name for himself now working as a Special Agent with the agency received Robert's file at his desk.

His name was Jeff L Schurott 

Just like Mahone of prison break, he was determined to get Robert and his colleagues after County Sheriffs kept complaining of questionable financial dealings done.

So when Robert Muli fleeced the county of Vermont of $3900 as his last deal thinking no one was on his trail 

FBI Agent Jeff connected the dots between this transaction to the ones made in other counties and with that he secured an arrest warrant for Mr. Robert

So as Robert unknowingly booked his flight to Kenya from his Carrolton home in Ohio, 

The FBI ignited their engines towards his location where Robert was arrested hours away from boarding a plane to Kenya.

He was charged with Fraud and sentenced to 20years in 2019

On Nov 2012, 23yo Jeff Sila walked into Wilson Airport holding a bag of cash. 

Unlike his peers who were in class at UoN, Jeff had skived his lecture to come buy 2 Cessna planes, sth that shook the manager... 

As he carefully listened to Jeff specify; 
"I want a 2 seater &amp; a 4 seater plane..".

Who is this kid? the manager wondered, but since mans couldn't find answers, he  assumed Jeff was one of those politician kids..." 

Not knowing that Jeff had come from a lineage of Generational Scammers

 A trade he had inherited from his maternal grandpa, Paul Nyumu, who first set foot in USA in the late 90s when moving to America was like every African's dream..

Grandpa Paul like every Greencard applying Kenyan, won his ticket from the dry lands of Ukambani to the city of Kansas.

However on arrival, he quickly realized that things kwa ground were totally different from the success stories he had heard.. 

Forcing him to work 2/3 jobs to sustain himself- a lifestyle he had never envisioned as he bid Kwaheri Kenya at JKIA.

Either way, he still dreamt of better days which gladly later dawned upon him when a pal introduced him to Identify Theft... 

A trade where they stole identities of old folks in US Nursing Homes by buying their Social Security Numbers/IDs and opened fake accounts to claim Tax Refunds.

A job that saw him rake in fast millions  despite buying the SSIDs from brokers who... 

Infuriated him like Shiqoo Hii Style fans for their exorbitant prices . So to cut them off he decided to build his empire from scratch with the full understanding that to be successful, he needed 2 things

A loyal Tax Preparer &amp; allied caregivers who had access to patients docs. 

People he didn't have on speed dial but since he was looking for loyalty, he flew back home in 2003.

Convinced his daughter Monica Ndungi who worked as a teacher in Machakos to quit her job to work as a caregiver in Kansas.. 

And then offered to sponsor his 2 nieces Lilian Nzongi &amp; Loretta Wavinya further their studies in US all in a bid to turn them into his prize workers

Loretta, an accountant grad, was to apply for Tax Preparer positions once in the US.. 

But first she had to become an EA (Enrolled Agent)  by passing her IRS special enrollment exams which Paul was sponsoring.

Lilian on the other hand was a KMTC graduate so she'd work as a caregiver once certified in US 

Where together with Monica they'd be incharge of recruitin caregivers who had assembled by Feb 2005.

Spread across homes in Calif &amp; Kansas were:Ervin Somba, 22,Edwin Nyumu Sila,19. Vincent Ogega, 24. Moses Nduvai,31. Aaron Mutavi, 26. Ken Njagi 26 &amp; Mary Njeri, 23. 

The A team 

Who worked as caregivers with the sole intention of accessing details of their elderly victims so as to give them to Wavinya who prepared fake Federal &amp; State Tax claims since she was now working as a certified Tax Preparer for a company in Kansas.

A master plan 

That brought to life their American dream quite fast b/c millions streamed in like nonsense having made over 300 fake claims with every fake Federal claim ranging between $4,000- 45K while the State refunds, ranging between $1500-20K..

Tbh, they had hit the jackpot. 

En with money raining like Fat Joe's music video, everyone in the team was balling.

From the smallest worker to the boss, everyone could afford atleast a Ferrari, a beautiful apartment plus a few millions in the Bank just incase they wanted to visit the strip club.. 

Or send money back home to build retirement homes or as pocket money to their kids i.e for those like Monica who kids in school.

Her kid being non other than Jeff Ndungi who had turned from a quiet Alliance High alumni as his classmates knew him.... 

To real crowd pleaser once the millions from mom started coming as he was pursuing IT at UoN b/c as his fellow freshmen struggled to book hostels, Jeff lived large in a furnished 1br apt in South B

Driving to school either in a Benz or Escalade b/c mama made the dream happen.

Meanwhile, this honeymoon was abruptly halted when the FBI's attention was caught by a large money transfer done by Paul, (Monica's dad) to Nrb in Dec 2006,.

Wondering why this was happening , they arrested Paul who under immense pressure admitted to fraud... 

And was presented in court where he was luckily granted bail as the prosecution begged more time to gather evidence to close his case.

This however was a big mistake pon the gvt side b/c as soon as Paul stepped out of Jail, he headed straight to the airport &amp; boarded the.. 

Next plane to Kenya. Reason being, he knew a storm was coming and for sure 6 months later, it did.

On July 2007 after serious investigations, the FBI raided the homes of his syndicate &amp; arrested all 18 of them in a $ 13.1M Tax Fraud Conspiracy.

The biggest at the time.. 

That attracted heavy penalties which saw the whole team sentenced for more than 10 years each, apart from the Boss- Paul, who escaped while on Bond to Machakos.

A move that saved his ass ...

And that of the game b/c as he lay low in Kenya, he linked up his IT pursuing grandson, Jeffrey Sila, with a deal that would ultimately help him set up his first illegal business that was fast gaining traction in the African space.

The deal was for Jeff to electronically issue a dud cheque to the US Federal government whereby he was able to steal from the them $7.7m in 2012.

Money he had never dreamt of touching that sent him to buy the only thing he didn't have planes.

He bought Cessna 5Y-CCN &amp; 5Y-CCI 

En later used the rest of the cash to buy equipment that would tap DSTV signals for him to sell them to West African countries.

Sth that saw MultiChoice Kenya &amp; Nigeria run to court in 2015 for help b/c man's was playing with their bread not knowing..
