you yoinked a gpl-v3 code, slapped an apache license on it, and called it a startup

here’s a quick 101 on how not to steal open source

@garrytan @ycombinator is this what you invest in? yuck

open source isn't a free for all 

the gplv3 license has rules: if you use gplv3 code, your project must also be gplv3

releasing it under an incompatible license (like apache 2.0) is a violation, not a "shortcut"

i can send you a DMCA for it, lmao

how to convert open source into closed source (the shady way):
- steal GPLv3 code
- slap an Apache 2.0 license on it
- wait until it gets traction, then close it up, "legally," cuz hey, it’s apache now... right

they even use the same random versions of libraries i use lmao 

if you liked the work, you could’ve forked it, its open source but instead, you pretended you wrote it

there are yc companies that are forks of my code 😭

bad look for @ycombinator and @garrytan, honestly

to real builders out there, just build, it’s not that hard

so many yc companies are just weekend wrappers,
