He claimed the government was watching him, so he watched them back.

And then, things got darker… 

The locals feared him.

And for some reason—people started dying.

The Belizean police wanted answers.

But John vanished—taking his girlfriend with him.

But behind the scenes, McAfee was hacking governments.

He sent free laptops to government officials—loaded with spyware.

One of his boldest moves? Hacking Hillary Clinton’s office.

He claimed he had dirt on everyone.

In 2012, when police in Guatemala captured him, he faked a heart attack to buy time—and escaped.

When the media asked why he kept running, his answer was simple:

“If they catch me, they’ll kill me.” 

McAfee wasn’t just running—he was thriving.

In the Bitcoin boom, he promoted crypto projects and became a Bitcoin billionaire.

And he didn’t hide it:

“I haven’t paid taxes in 10 years because I blackmailed the U.S. government.” 

In 2016, McAfee did the unthinkable:

He ran for President of the United States—twice.

His slogan? “Privacy is freedom.”

His campaign focused on:

➡️ Legalizing drugs
➡️ “Freedom at all costs” 

By 2019, his luck ran out.

The U.S. government wanted him for tax evasion.

John’s response?

➡️ He fled on a yacht in the Caribbean—armed with machine guns.
➡️ Posted videos of himself surrounded by guards and prostitutes.

He was wanted in 3 countries—but couldn’t care less. 

In 2021, Spanish authorities arrested McAfee.

Facing 30+ years in prison, he refused to cooperate.

On June 23, 2021, McAfee was found dead in his cell—an apparent suicide.

But here’s where things get weird…

John predicted his death years before.

He once tweeted:

“Know that if I hang myself, it will be no fault of mine.”

He even got a tattoo that read “$WHACKD”—claiming he had enough dirt to destroy powerful people.

And some believe… he’s still alive. 

After his death, his Instagram account posted a single image:

A black “Q.”

The message? A cryptic nod to QAnon, hinting that McAfee had faked his death.

To this day, no one knows the full truth.

John McAfee’s life wasn’t just about tech—it was a masterclass in controlling attention:
