There’s never been a better time to grow your social media following. Here’s the exact 3 step system I used to get my first 100,000 followers and skyrocket my growth: First, you need to pick a channel to grow. The biggest mistake I see people make is trying to grow on too many platforms at once. My top 2 recommendations for your first channel to grow to 100,000: LinkedIn or X. These are the “Grand Slam” platforms. They use written text, which means you can practice your copywriting immediately. Once you get good at writing copy, you can use that skill anywhere and have a huge advantage. Second, after you pick your first channel, pick one topic. When you're on your way to your first 100,000 followers, you want to become known for ONE thing. For me, that’s Systems. For @jamesclear it’s Habits. For @aliabdaal it’s Productivity. Make sure it's a topic you love and are an expert on, or at minimum, are exploring at a deep level and sharing your discoveries. Once you have a channel and your topic, step 3 to blow up with zero budget is to Establish a Posting Cadence. Consistency is key. Put in the reps. If you are consistent, good things happen! When going from 0 to 100,000, you're learning the skills and language of your chosen platform. You don’t know anything yet. But the more reps you put in, the faster you’ll bridge the ignorance gap.
