Martinelli is in a 1v1 situation in the box. He pulls it back to Ødegaard who is in a TOP position to shoot. Instead of shooting on his right foot, he takes his first touch with his left foot, turns AWAY from goal, & shoots into a crowd of bodies. Sums up his offensive issues.
If that is De Bruyne, Szoboszlai, Gibbs-White, Bellingham, etc, etc, they are all capable of shooting on both feet AND providing an overlapping run. They have a variety of solutions to choose from. Ødegaard can't overlap and can't use his right foot. It's why he's better deep.
