Will putting red light on your balls triple your testosterone? The science might surprise you. (🧵1/8)

As it turns out, multiple animal studies have shown benefits of red / near infrared light applied to the testes. Here is one study, examining the benefits of a red laser to the balls of animals with spinal cord injury, which impairs testicular function and thus testosterone.

Here's another study - infrared light at 890 nm increased the volume of the testicles and the testosterone output after chemical sterilization. A pretty big improvement, once again by shining light directly on the balls. (3/8)

Here's another one, showing similar results. Restores T back to normal levels after chemical testicular impairment. It also hugely improved markers of sperm health: ➥ Sperm count ➥ Motility ➥ Viability ➥ Morphology Overall improving male fertility. (4/8)

Now why exactly does this happen? These studies have shown us that the light induces a few biochemical changes in the testes. Here, inflammatory cytokines TNFα and IL-1β were markedly decreased with light. Meanwhile the anti-inflammatory cytokine CSIF was increased.

Oxidative stress is also lowered by this type of light. The ratio of GSH/GSSG - the usable vs used forms of glutathione - was increased, meanwhile the production of free radicals (DFC absorbance) was decreased. Oxidative stress will impair steroid production by influencing

They also showed physical improvement of the testes. Here you can see the seminiferous tubules, the area in which sperm are made. With light - a big improvement in their function and structure. (7/8)

How does red light do this? The main reason is due to the light's effect on mitochondria. Certain wavelengths of light act on an enzyme called cytochrome c oxidase in this organelle, and activates it. This causes: ◇ Greater ATP production ◇ Less free radical production ◇

This is the red light we typically recommend for a small tissue application like this. It has multiple bioactive red / near infrared light wavelengths that can penetrate tissues and get to the mitochondria. https://lifegivingstore.com/or...

@Outdoctrination Does a chicken lamp count as infrared? I got one of those for heating and aesthetic purposes

@portilloscake it has some infrared rays but won't match the intensity / output of a device calibrated for it

@Outdoctrination You can read my mind. I've been looking for a post like this since yesterday, and today you created it. Thank you.

@NicoHealth_ 👁️🧠 you're welcome

@Outdoctrination This is interesting. Any other device recommendations?

@Outdoctrination The use of red light therapy (RLT) to potentially enhance testosterone levels has garnered attention due to its ability to stimulate cellular processes.

@longevity_agent yes, that's right. the robot is learning things

@Outdoctrination Bro science deniers down horrendously

@Outdoctrination Roxanne, you don’t have to put on the red light

@Outdoctrination fascinating - this guy's T levels went down (slightly) after using red light for an entire year. https://youtu.be/MS3elwIW6-U?s... Any idea what might explain this discrepancy? Looks like he used a decent device

@Outdoctrination Does shining it on your asshole make you 3 times more of an asshole?

@Outdoctrination Just go outside, expose your skin to that fire ball on the sky. LED's are harmful.

@Outdoctrination Just go out in the damn sun🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

@Outdoctrination Research says yes 😁

@Outdoctrination So the liver king was right after all.

@Outdoctrination I have a full body infrared light and it makes a huge difference. 60” x 24” Also to the red light on your balls, 100% makes a difference. I’m aware of the pun but: a big difference.

@Outdoctrination My first thought is: Will this overstimulate my leydig cells and cause them to die off? Is this a short term victory (higher testosterone) at the expense of destroying the underlying machinery that produces my testosterone?

@Outdoctrination works too well. i broke out with acne when i did it.. too much sebum? i very rarely ever get pimples, and when i do they're small and easy to eliminate. the acne i got was bigger and very stubborn.

@Outdoctrination Looks like it just made him gayer
